MERRY CHRISTMAS

My Christmas wish is that I hope that everyone has a safe and happy holiday with family and friends!
Oh and sneak a little stitching in here and there….xxxxx

Been working on Stockings and a small cardinal ornament that I modified from a pattern called Cardinal Ribbon from Better Homes and Gardens ” A Cross Stitch Christmas” ©1996

Picture from the Book and partially stitched ornament ^

Also getting another Better Homes and Garden book. It’s in the mail to me now.
A Cross Stitch Christmas – A Season for Stitching ©2002
Kind of thinking of collecting these but not quite sure yet as I have several…ok ok tons of patterns still needing to be stitched but I can’t resist something with Cardinals  and Santa in it. 😉

This is one of a few I have planned on stitching this year and into next year. Goal is to have more Cardinals on my Christmas Tree next year.

Stocking #3 Christmas Eve progress- working on this one this week.

Stocking #1 Winter Wildlife Christmas.

Stocking #2 A Celtic Christmas. 1 more large
band to finish

Also working on a pattern from StitchX Cross Stitch Designs. you can find the shop at StitchX Cross Stitch Designs – Craftsy

One last thing to show is a small haul from  my birthday 12-16-2018

My Sister-In-Law has for the past few years sent me a Amazon Gift card for my Birthday, This year I found a medium size cross stitch chart that will work with all my Christmas decorations among others that I am working on.
This one I am planning on stitching  on 18 count Aida -color is Oatmeal. The size on 18 ct. is 13 3/4 inches wide x 4 inches high.
If you stitch this on the called for 28 ct. 2over2 it would be 17 3/4″w x 5″ h
There’s also “Spring in the Village” book 415 , “Summer in the Village”book 416 and “Autumn in the Village”book 417

Stoney Creek Collection Book 418  Winter in the Village.

This pattern can be found on Amazon and several other sites like –

Wips, progress and finishes

Hello All, I hope that this finds everyone doing well and stitching. 🙂

This post will be picture heavy as I am going to try and show a few wips and the progress as well as a couple of finishes and  2 new starts.
 UPDATE- 10-27-2018
#1WIP Stocking #1 Winter Wildlife Christmas. I have managed to finish 2 of the 5 animals and started on the 3rd one. Also found the MIA color after buying 5 more skeins of it so was able to finish the 2nd animal. I named him Bullwinkle.

The 3rd animal has just 3 colors so he may show up faster this time provided no more floss goes MIA lol Already named him Gentle Ben.

Also finished Little House Needleworks- Hometown Holiday- Needlework Shop

I had stopped working on FoxWood Crossings Snowy Visitors and just now decided to pull them back out and finish the last 3 I need.

Until Next Time…..
Happy Stitching and May you have smokin’ Needles…xxx

#1 WIP – Stocking #1 Winter Wildlife Christmas. I was making good progress and hoped to finish as least #2 of 5 animals, There’s not many color changes in this one and went to get the 1 color (DMC 435) I needed and discovered that the said color has went MIA , the whole snack bag full has disappeared ( I still have no idea where it is). I was working on this last Thursday in my rotation and it all come to a screeching halt when I couldn’t find the color. I look for over an hour and it is still MIA so had to wait until after work on Friday to buy more. I got aggravated and settled myself by having a new start.
Stocking #1                        Winter Wildlife Christmas

The new start this past week is Little House Needleworks – Hometown Holiday – Needlework Shop. I got my pattern and fabric from 123Stitch my go to online shop. You can find the pattern @ Needlework-Shop-Cross-Stitch-Pattern
Fabric is there also and is 30 count Portobello Linen. I will also be stitching the Coffee Shop in the series as well on the same fabric using DMC threads.

I am also working on my Sunday Smalls Foxwood Crossings Sled Ornaments – Snowy Visitors. I am stitching the same ornament for family members this year.

Now up for a couple of FFO’s – Finally Finished Objects or Fully Finished Objects

Welcome to the Nuthouse by Waxing Moon Designs. I finished stitching this last year but finally come up with a finishing idea this past month.
There’s 2 places I can recommend to get this Waxing Moon Designs on 123Stitch
paper chart on 123Stitch
or the PDF on Etsy directly from Waxing Moon Designs
The second one is Luminaria Lane by Hands On Designs Hands-On-Design-Luminaria-Lane-White-Christmas-5-Cross-Stitch-Pattern again from 123Stitch. Links will take you to each design on the website.
I used my own Hand-Dyed Aida Denim color 14 count with a mix of DMC Threads and Iris Threads and one of my own hand-dyed thread.

Next up is another new start by Cottage Garden Samplings called Peace on Earth. There’s also a SAL group on Facebook for this one as well. There are 2 colorways(it shows both) you can stitch this on per the pattern. I’ve chosen my own hand dyed fabric. 18 count aida dyed pearl grey. You can find the pattern as a PDF on Etsy Cottage Garden Samplings -instant-download-peace-on-earth-cross

The SAL on Facebook started today 8-12-2018. Facebook Group

Until Next Time…..

Stitching when I find the time

Hello All, I am sorry for not posting in a while. Work has been really busy and what spare time I could find in the evenings , I have been stitching.  Warning this is Picture Heavy—-

Luminaria Lane by Hands On Design. I have chose my own colors for this and may stitch it again but  with called for colors(DMC) at another time. I’ll post again once I have finished it with my chosen colors listed.

Stocking #1 Winter Wildlife Christmas pages 1 & 2 done. I’ll start on page 3 when it comes up in rotation.

Stocking #2 Celtic Christmas. Next band up in 3 large stars so far it’s been an easy stitch. I have changed and will change some of the colors as I continue stitching. Chosen colors will be listed for this when I have finished it as well. They are all DMC threads.

Stocking #3 Christmas Eve. Also a easy stitch. I am using the called for colors DMC. Top floor and 2nd bedroom finished.

Next up is a finish. Lady Liberty 1776 by Shelly Auen of Primitive Stitchin. You can find her shop on Etsy @ Primitive Stitchin
I also have Uncle Sam 1776 as well I am planning on starting soon.

This is stitched on Osnaburg Linen I found at my local Hobby Lobby, lots of fuzz on it but it stitched up fine
1 over 2

Plan to start “Peace on Earth” by Cottage Garden Samplings. you can find the shop  on Etsy @ Cottage Garden Samplings
I’ll be stitching it using DMC Threads and maybe a couple of changes. I have yet to decide. Will be stitched on my own hand dyed fabric 14 ct. Aida Pearl Grey, it’s a little darker than the pic.

Next plan is to finally finish these 2 Cardinals into little pillows with this fabric and ricrac I found at Hobby Lobby.

That’s all for now. I hope this finds everyone doing well and staying cool

5-12-2018 Woohoo finally an update on Stocking 1 Winter  Wildlife Christmas. I have completed page 1 and 2. I’ve been working on this slowly and stitching other projects as well. More on those on another post. For now this is my stopping point until I get back to it in rotation.

***6-24-18 Little bit of an update here , I’ve finished page 1(the eagle and band) and page 2 the trees. Still working on the final part of the stand of trees and up next is the moose first then the rest of the animals.

Stocking 3 is now Stocking 2 Celtic Christmas started. This is this weeks rotation piece. Top 2 bands done working on #3 band. I’ve also stitched on this but haven’t updated either, my apologies for being slack on posting work is in busy season.
5-12-2018 update

Stocking 2 Celtic Christmas  Update as of a week ago when it come up in rotation..

I finished the infinity chain(green) I’ll give details as to what thread color I was using versus the called for threads. I’ve been making some changes as I go. That chain ( if someone can tell me the actual name of the band) has a lot of quarter stitches in it that’s why you see the sharp needle , makes it easier to do the quarter stitches when working on a stiff 18 count aida.

**6-24-18 ** Another small update on Stocking #2. working on another infinity chain same as the last one I worked on plus finished the ?infinity knots? I guess you would call them that…

I haven’t started on the Christmas Eve Stocking it comes up next week 1 -15-2018
***This one I have started and it is going a little faster that the other 2 so far I am happy with the results
Stocking 3 Christmas Eve. This one is Week 3 rotation piece. This is 2 stitching sessions.

5-12-2018 UPDATE wow I really need to update this as much as I can while I have a few minutes hopefully weekly updates from now on.

** 6-24-18 **This one has really been an easy stitch so far and I have finished the 2nd Floor bedroom. Next rotation I’ll start on the living room which is the bottom of the stocking from Heel(right) to Toe (left).

Happy Stitching and may you have smokin’ needles … xxx

I’ve planned on stitching 3 stockings, 8 ornaments and work on an old WIP Cape Elizabeth Lighthouse.

2. Christmas Eve Stocking from Jean Farish Needleworks. Village Stocking Collection No. 1 found  Stocking 2

3. Celtic Christmas  from Rosewood Manor- Designed by Karen Kluba This one I found on 123Stitch Stocking 3

So much going on and so behind…..

Hello All, I hope this finds everyone doing well. I haven’t really had much time to post to blogger so please bear  with me and know that I do appreciate each and every one of you.

This is going to be picture heavy because I have reorganized part of my craft room, put away projects and found projects plus I am working on my rotation pieces Stocking #1 Winter Wildlife Christmas, #2 Celtic Christmas and #3 Christmas Eve. Plus started a new Special project I only work on on Saturdays so it’s known as Saturday Special Project and Sunday Smalls.

Pictures of my reorganization : Wips in my rotation

3 bottom shelves are DMC full line of solids, Special threads, etc..
2nd shelf is wips that I plan on stitching , and my yarn & plastic canvas crafts
Top  shelf is fabrics and kits

Now onto my stitching projects. I’ve made some progress on the stockings which will be updated on another post specially made for them. This post is featuring  a Jeanette Douglas Designs Finger Pyn Pillows which I won from Heather Stitches back in Oct. 2016. Love these little designs but only stitched 1 back in Nov. 2016 before being unintentionally buried under lots of other projects and I just found them after reorganizing my stash. These are being worked on 32  count linen 1 over 2 with DMC threads that Heather provided for the projects. the little pillow to the left is the one I stitched back in Nov. 2016. the wip in the hoop is pillow #3

The finish which I haven’t finished into a pillow yet

The Saturday Special Project is by Little House Needleworks- Hometown Holiday- Bookstore , there’s other in the series and you can find them at Little House Needleworks . I got mine from 123Stitch . On this I am using mostly DMC threads- the brown is a blend of DMC 420 & 433. The birds, trees will be stitched using Weeks Dye Works
( WDW) Merlot and Spinach and Twig from Colour and Cotton ( Colour and Cotton )

My Sunday Smalls consist of Sled Ornaments from Snowy Visitors by Foxwood Crossings – found on 123Stitch

14 count- DMC Threads.

And another small by Shelley Auten of Primitive Stitchin’ . I’m stitching Lady Liberty 1776 on Osnaburg linen I found at my local craft store and I plan to stitch Uncle Sam 1776 as well to add to my American Bowl that I covered in fabric , they will join Liberty by Just Nan
Links: Primitve Stitchin’ you can find the patterns in her Etsy shop
Just Nan I found mine on Amazon

I do hope you have enjoyed this picture walk and found the information and links helpful.
Until next time…

Bloglovin’ Removal

Over the past few months I had noticed that my follower numbers have gone up on BlogLovin’. While I appreciate that everyone has followed me there. I have to announce that I no longer use Bloglovin’ due to the fact that some of the followers have and are linked to porn sites.  There is no way to block these people or report them so I had to make the choice of removing my blog and account from Bloglovin. New Project 2017 – finished in 2018

UPDATE – She is FINISHED! I have not had the time to do any updates here with her. But on New Years Day 2018 ( evening) I finally finished the stitching and started adding beads to her over 2 evenings so here’s to my second Mirablia finished!!!

I’ve been stitching on a new project for a SAL I am running in my community. The SAL is Mira March SAL. I purchased and am stitching Deepest Love designed by Nora Corbett.

From the Web..
My progress so far since March 1st 2017. I am stitching this on 28 count Jobelan Twilight Mist found on 123Stitch
***9-10-2017 – – – I just started back on this after getting caught up with the Great Cheshire Pumpkin SAL being offered by Tempting Tangles
So far everything is still on point with count and I feel I am making progress now thankfully. Doesn’t look as if much is done due to having to restitch the parts but there’s progress.

Until next time… Happy Stitching and may you have smokin’ needles

*8-30-17 When I last left off I was frogging the inner ribbon due to being off quite a bit on the count.. I have caught back up to where I was originally and added some stitches to the far left side.. Progress until I get back to this in a couple of weeks. “ON POINT” means my stitch count is correct on both sides of the inner ribbon. Until next time…Happy Stitching and May you have smokin’ needles xxx
* 8-18-2017 – I haven’t updated this one as much as I would have liked. Work has been very busy and I’ve added the progress of Deepest Love to other post. The Ribbons have been a thorn in my side thus far, I was up past the half way point on this and found a big mistake in the ribbon next to her body. It wasn’t close enough to her body…. So I started frogging it last night
I have started restitching the ribbon counting twice and watching my placement. DON’T stitch when you are tired! I think that’s why I made such a major mistake on this. Anyhow I have managed to stitch some on this before this update and now back up to here…
Back to stitching… Until next time. Happy Stitching and May you have smokin’ needles
6-6-2017 Work has been crazy busy so I haven’t been able to update much. I have however been able to stitch a bit on Deepest Love along with 3 other projects. I’m working from the bottom up now. Progress so far… Outer ribbon and seaweed done up to scroll frame, I am stitching the middle ribbon and then the body before moving my scroll frame up…
Until Next Time…. Happy Stitching xxx
5-12-2017 Update on Deepest Love for the Mira March SAL  Finished the Fin and working my way back up..

4-15-2017  I loosened up the scroll frame to move it up as I am working on the bottom part….
I hope that this finds everyone doing well. Until next time Happy Stitching and may Mr. Frog stay away.
* 7-5-2017 *
Update
Unfortunately I have been unable to post as much as I want due to busy season at work. I am trying to stitch when I can and have made some progress on Deepest Love only to find some mistakes and have a major frogging session last night. I WAS up to the halfway point of the pattern when 2 of the outer ribbons were getting too close together. I found the mistakes a little too late and had to frog the entire outer ribbon and seaweed. I’ve restarted the ribbon and am counting at least 3 times as I stitch… She is just too beautiful to fudge up. I want her right or it will haunt me when I look at it…. So here’s some progress. The mistakes and frogging I have done…
Outer ribbon and middle ribbon too close together
Frogging has begun(7-4-2017)
Restarted the outer ribbon. Counting, recounting and counting again.
Until next time …..Happy Stitching xxx
